With January firmly out of the way, February is the month for Valentines gifts, school holidays and flipping pancakes!
It’s been a little chilly over the last few weeks on the farm, but spite the cold, our farm goats have managed to give birth to the most cuteness of ‘kids’ also the first of our new-born cows have also arrived and with the half term holidays just around the corner, we are very excited to show them off to our little ‘foodie farmer’ workshop visitors. Our workshops start at 10am exploring the delights of a real working farm, meeting the animals and finding out about our different types of cows, calves, sheep and of course you get to meet our new baby pigmy goats. The morning also includes lunch and a goody bag only £15.95 per child. Dates available, 18th, 21st, 22nd February 2019.
The farm shop has plenty of Valentine’s gift ideas, for him and her, local beer, fine wines and champagnes also plenty of artisan gins, whiskys, vodka, chocolates and even apple proscesso, a much loved favourite by us. Or if your feeling adventurous, pick your own hamper, make you very own bespoke gift by choosing your own box, contents and then simply just wrap! If you love pancakes, we have everything you could want to make the perfect pancake, a choice of artisan flours, eggs and fresh milk, lemons, fruit syrups and local honey, all make the perfect pancake dish!
Our butchers have been busy preparing some new dishes, this month sees the arrival our new ‘Weekend Breakfast’ pack! Six rashers of smoked back bacon, 6 x traditional pork sausages, black pudding, eggs, mushrooms and tomato all in one box for only £9.95. Or try our new range of fresh ready meals, meat balls in tomato sauce, pork stir fry, marinated pork belly, lamb & beef pin wheels and spicy beef steaks, are just some of the delicious ready to go dishes, to make the perfect midweek supper.
