If it`s fresh salad your after, this time of year is great for picking fresh salad leaves from the garden. Douglas our resident grower has been growing some amazing fresh salad leaves for the farm shop and tea room, dressed with little garlic farm oil this dish is simple and delicious. You can purchase these fresh salad leaves and oils from the farm shop to take home.
Our delicatessen is stocked with tasty sausage rolls and meaty scotch eggs all home made using our own rare breed meats. Fine cheeses, quiches and artisan breads are also available with fine chutneys and pickles to match, just add a basket and blanket and enjoy the great outdoors.
Our Farm Park is officially OPEN! After the amazing success of Open Farm Sunday this year, we have decided to finally open the gates of the farm park for our visitors and families on a more permanent basis, enabling you to enjoy even more of our glorious Hertfordshire farm. Rare breed animals, playful goats, sheep, lambs, pigs and cows are just some of the animals you’ll see.
The animal barn petting area houses small animals such as ducks, chickens, rabbits and guinea pigs in our new paddock area so you get to see our farm along with its beautiful lakes, fantastic for summer picnics or maybe a relaxing leisure walk. Join our Little ‘Foodie Farmers’ Workshops this summer and enjoy Sausage Linking here at Foxholes Farm. Our friendly butcher will give a brief talk explaining how our favourite food is produced from our award- winning farm. Learn how to sausage link, wrap and even label items from our very own butchery.
Or Meet the Farmer! Spend the morning with our award-winning farmer exploring the delights of a real working farm with some fun animal colouring in, then you will be will be taken around the farm by our farmer to meet and greet the animals. Learn the different types of breeds and the basics on how our animals are reared and see a real working farm. Workshops 10am – 12pm (August bookings only) £15.95 per person age 5-15 yrs Lunch is included and a free goody bag to take home with both workshops.
