Spring time on the farm is always magical. A new season and start to the farming year with the clocks going back to make longer, lighter evenings for everyone to enjoy the outdoors.
At the moment we are welcoming new baby calves onto the farm from our herd of Aberdeen Angus cows. They are keeping us busy with early mornings and late nights constantly checking on their every move, to make sure all is well with the newborns. As these are very large animals, it is not safe for everyone to see them, but hopefully the weather will soon be drier, and you can watch out to see them in the grass fields along our farm drive.
From the 31st of March, we will start our Lambing Live event. Our ewes (Mummy sheep) are in our Farm Park barn for you to come and see their gorgeous lambs as they take their first steps. They will be playing havoc as they get older and more mischievous. You may be lucky enough to see some lambs being born or were born earlier that morning.
We also have our baby Pigmy Goats for you to see in the Farm Park and say hello to our other resident animals, the donkeys, alpacas, rabbits, guinea pigs and pigs as you stroll around the Farm Park and the beautiful lakes.
You can book tickets for Lambing Live through our website: https://www.foxholesfarm.com/product/lambing-live/ or you can just turn up anytime between 10am and 2pm and pay on the door.
We are lucky to have our onsite butchery, with butchers ready to help you select the best cut for your recipes. With Easter fast approaching, we have put a few ideas together for you to choose, order and collect at a suitable time. With a four day bank holiday weekend, this gives families the perfect opportunities to get together and celebrate. Please have a look at our online shop: https://www.foxholesfarm.com/shop/
Our Farm Shop is also bursting with Easter Chocolates, sweets, farm toys and gifts to suit everyone, please come and have a browse. We are open 7 days a week.
