    Our new Ducks have arrived! We have an adorable selection of laying ducks for you to see in their new paddock, between the sheep & chicken pens. Pop along and say hello, our springtime baby chicks are now into full lay– supplying trays of eggs available to purchase in store for £7.00 a tray (£1.40 ½ dozen). Our Arable harvest has now been completed & bales of straw set aside to provide snug, warm bedding for all our animals in the long winter months ahead. Drilling (the planting of seed) & ploughing has got off to a shaky start due to the unseasonably cold and wet September we experienced, but is still well underway.



    Whilst farm life is slowing down, things in the shop have gone up a gear! Our cheese & wine tasting evening & weekend was a runaway success and inspired many Christmas cheese boards ideas for those in attendance– plus the perfect wine accompaniment to boot! On the subject of the festive season which is closing in upon us, our new 2013 Christmas order forms are now in store or to download from our website So too, we have begun producing our new range of seasonal hampers in readiness for early Foodie gift hunters & corporate gift ideas, with many gifts & stocking fillers under £5 pounds. Following the success of our cheese and wine event, we have increased our eclectic Alcoholic beverage selection, to include a large selection of red, white & rose wines and Port– just in time for the festive season. Our Wessex Mill flour section is still increasing & now includes a Mediterranean bread flour. Our delicatessen inspired gift selection has also grown, now including wonderful olive wood boards, bowls & accessories, platters, garlic roaster & so much more. And finally, for those in a hurry, we have a wonderful new line of freshly prepared, heat to serve just vegetables & potato meal accompaniments from a lovely supplier called Mash Direct– they are well worth a try. The game season is now upon us, pheasant, venison, partridge, grouse etc will all be available in store in October. We will be holding our next tasting event on the 23rd & 24th November.
