A few days of chopping fallen trees and establishing fallen power lines saw out the last few days of October, but despite this, the last of our seed planting was also completed, and are growing beautifully, thanks to the very mild weather we have been experiencing, All ready now to harvest in summer 2014. This years baby calves are now in their winter quarters as you drive through the Farm, do say ‘Hello’. October too saw the birth of a further litter of baby piglets. Loving the mud in their free range paddocks with their mum!
The flow of new products in our shop has increased from a trickle to a deluge, as the festive season fast approaches.We are now taking Christmas orders, as always we shall have local Turkeys, Geese, Ducks, Beef, Pork, Lamb, Bacon, Pigs in blankets, Gammon’s, Hams, Hand raised buffet pies & Cheese available to order. We are offering wine & Champagne by the individual bottle or on offer for purchase by the case & to complement our range of over 50 cheeses, we shall produce cheese platters for the festive season & have included port into our large range of Beers, Wines & spirits. We have a multitude of new seasonal products & gifts now available, These we shall showcase, at our Christmas Tasting weekend on the 23rd & 24th November. You are welcome to sample Roast Turkey, glazed hams, mince pies, cheeses, pickles & preservers. We have extended our Christmas hamper range this year & also offer a postage facility. Perfect gifts for corporate employees & friends. We are holding a festive Corporate Gift showcase event on Tuesday 12th & Wednesday 13th November between 10am – 4pm. Do come along & see our hampers.
