With autumn now in full swing our farm park and safari lodge have now closed for bookings until spring 2021. We have been lucky enough to have had some good autumn weather enabling visitors to come and enjoy the great outdoors. So a big thank you for visiting us through these difficult times and sharing your photos and stories on our facebook and instagram pages.
As the county goes into another lockdown for a month our farm shop will be open seven days a week (normal hours) with social distancing measures in place to keep you and our staff safe. Next month we will be open for longer with additional hours on certain days to ensure our customers have a safe place to visit. If you’re struggling to visit our shop or would like to use ‘click & collect’ service our on-line shop would be good or you. All our popular meats (including Christmas) and brands will be easy to shop for with a click of a button. Your order will be picked and packed the same day by a member of our team ready for you to collect, you can also e.mail your wish list to our team if you don’t feel comfortable using online services and we will make sure your order is also ready for you to collect.
Our Christmas order book is now open, we have everything you need for a festive feast. Our farm and gift shop is bursting with goodies for the ultimate feast with free-range turkeys, cheeses, fine wines & spirits, cooked meats and lots of lovely gift ideas for friends and family. Our family roast boxes will provide you with all you need for a fantastic family dinner with all the trimmings. In the butchery this month it’s all about the sausages. With bonfire night fast approaching why not make a cosy bangers and mash or stews and casseroles with our finest British banger. Cumberland, beef & horseradish, caramelised onion and traditional pork are just a few of our favourite flavours, made fresh on site in our butchery by our lovely assistant Nina. Nina prepares the meat, adds the ingredients and puts it through the sausage maker to make the best banger in Hertfordshire. Do try them, they are fabulous!
In season this month the Brussel sprout makes an appearance in our farm shop. Love em or hate em this little miniature green cabbage may not be to everyones taste but it’s great as a side dish sautéed with bacon lardons. Cauliflowers, turnips, pears, kale, swede and parsnips which are great also appear in our selection of veg boxes. Choose your box from our veg/fruit selection and we will make sure it’s ready for you to take home, boxes range from £15 to £40.
If you’re after gifts for the home or your little ones, our gift shop has a lovely selection of cushions, candles, jugs, mugs, cuddly toys, accessories, chocolates and not forgetting, booze. Artisan fine wines, gin liquors, speciality vodkas and whiskies in all shapes and sizes make lovely tipples to drink now or to give as presents.
