Happy new year to you from all at Foxholes Farm Shop.

A very wet & windy new year it was too! The marquees we had erected for the Christmas rush just about stood up to the blustery weather. The animals through have been treated more kindly and most are now under cover whilst January blows through. Just in time for the first of this years calves due this month.

December, not only bought us vast quantities of turkey & Santa, it also bought us 5 further litters of Saddle back piglets to add to our herd.

Whilst little else changes in January on the farm, we have chosen our quietest month to undertake some much needed groundwork. we are finally connecting to mains drainage, weather permitting, this work should be completed by January end. We do apologies if you find yourself held up for a short while on your visit to us.

Inside the shop, Christmas now seems a distance memory (phew!!). Our butchers are keeping busy supplying many stewing cuts of meat- lamb shanks seem particularly popular, as well as keeping up with our own minced & diced beef, which is currently have on offer, warming comfort food seems the key for January.

We are all so gearing up to celebrate British breakfast week 20Th – 29Th January. Along side our ever favourite homemade sausages, our black pudding breakfast sausage fly out at this time of year, we also provide our home cured bacon’s, black & white pudding, farm fresh eggs & freshly baked bread. For our more health conscious we also , naturally stock yogurt, made right here on the farm, using milk from the village, fresh fruit, muesli, a wonderful selection of Tea Pigs tea temples, ground coffee, dried nuts, seeds & fruits.

Burns night falls during british breakfast week on Wednesday 25th January. We are stocking Haggis throughout Januaryas well as local root vegetables the traditional accomplement. The most traditional of all partners for Haggis is , of course Scotch Whisky- How about a midweek dinner party, finished off with a nip of our Sheep Dip or Pigs Nose Scotch Whisky. Celebrate!

While the wind blows & the weather shows- you’ll always find a warm welcome @ Foxholes Farm Shop.

We look forward to seeing you soon.
