Finally in the Farm Yards everything is beginning to slow down. Due to the early arrival of Autumn/Winter, we have found ourselves unable to complete the Autumn crop drilling. With the land sodden, we shall have to leave all wheat drilling until (hopefully) early spring.
Our cattle too, have been moved nearer to the Farm Yards, with extremely muddy conditions and accessibility issues (for them and us) they shall now feed upon Maize (grown and harvested ourselves).. Until new Spring grass growth and sunnier days make the pasture land more palatable.
New life is not just for spring though … Our Saddle back Pigs are a rugged, hardy English rare breed and are loving the muddy conditions, so much so they have delivered unto us two further litters in November! Come along and watch their muddy play! (Wellies advisable).
Due to the outstanding success of early Novembers Christmas tasting weekend we shall be holding our 2nd and final of 2012 on 1st and 2nd December. This event will be double the size of Novembers, double the yumminess and festive delights await your appraisal!
