After a busy school half term here at the farm we now start to prepare for one of our favourite times of the year, Easter!
Our Farm Park opens on Saturday 6th April and there are so many jobs to be finished. Our barn is getting ready for lambing and with our baby goats already arriving along with new baby calves, it’s a very hectic time for us farmers. Our lamb and baby goat feeding sessions are now open for bookings, our lambing season runs from April 6th to April 22nd 2019.Feeding session prices: £12.50 per child (plus ONE accompanying adult free). Under 2yrs – £2. Under 1yrs – £1. Price also gives you entry to explore our Farm Park. Admission to the Farm Park only is £3.95. Please see our lamb & baby goat feeding session times and details on how to book on our website.
Our farm shop has plenty to please for Mother’s day. With lots of lovely unique gift ideas from natural scented candles to animal printed scarves, notebooks and aprons. Or why not make your own bespoke gifts, we have a fine selection of great British cheese, a collection of artisan gins, divine chocolates and biscuits too. Cabbages, cauliflowers, chicory, parsnips sprouting broccoli and spring onions are still in season but make the most of root vegetables as there are only a few weeks left.
If you’re cooking for mum then our butchery counter will certainly have some show stopping joints of meat ready for the oven. Lamb or beef is on the menu and in season this month so make the most of the meaty ideas from the counter, our butchers will always advise on how to cook the perfect roast! Look out for great deals on diced and minced beef family packs as we celebrate ‘National Butchers Week’ 12th – 18th March highlighting the wonderful skills of our butchers. We still have some limited spaces for our March Butchery course on Thursday 21st March if you wish to learn the tricks of the trade!

The Farmers Table will be serving delicious food so why not treat mum to a hearty farmer’s cooked breakfast, served 10am – 12noon, with homemade sausages & bacon served with eggs, beans, tomato, mushrooms and black pudding.
