    AROUND THE FARM

    We have the last few cows left which are due to calve, the rest of the herd are out on the grass with their young. The chickens and ducks are laying well now with the lighter, longer days & the Easter chicks are growing their adult feathers rapidly. The lambs have been the star attractions this month along with the free range goats. After a dry, mild Spring we are up to date with farm duties and field activities, maize & pumkins have been drilled ready for Autumn harvest & the grass is growing ready for silage making at the end of May.

     

    INSIDE THE SHOP

    We are pleased to introduce you to Jacqui, our new Full-time Deli Manager. Her passion is British cheeses and she has been busy sourcing new products. Jacqui has also been working in the kitchen making some tasty new treats for the Cooked Meat & Pastry Section. So, please do call in and see the counter grow with new inspiration and ideas. Also, have a look at the Meat Counter, with its beautiful, mouth watering displays. With BBQ week approaching there are plenty of tasty things to choose.

     

    GRANNY SMITHS TEA SHOP

    What a fabulous Easter Holiday it was, the weather was perfect. For those looking after children, our sun terrace and play garden was full of happy faces. Hopefully we shall have some more good weather in the next couple of months when we will have some BBQ’s here. We have ‘Dawlicious’ ice-cream for sale in the Tea Shop now for the Summer. The ice-cream is also available in bigger tubs from the Farm Shop for you to take home and enjoy.
