Seasonal summer foods are high on the list at this time of year with June being such a glorious, plentiful month.

With the sound of tractors buzzing around the fields, it`s so important for us to get the timing right for cutting our home produced silage to keep our cows fed throughout the long winter months. Plentiful rainfall and sunshine days make for a good crop, so for us here at Foxholes Farm it`s another busy season.

Summer salad leaves are handpicked by our keen resident gardener straight from the Foxholes Kitchen garden, washed and bagged then sold via our farm shop and with healthy eating week 11th – 15th June, it’s all the more reason to kick-start your healthy summer recipes. If you love picnics national picnic week takes place this June 15th – 24th across the UK, grab yourself a blanket and basket then get out and enjoy the great outdoors. We have a wide selection of handmade scotch eggs, pastries, quiches and cooked meats, if you love locally made drinks our selection of artisan brewed beers, wines and juices are the perfect picnic choice. If you’re entertaining a crowd or planning a BBQ this summer our high quality BBQ packs are a great way to make your summer sizzle. Ribs, burgers, sausages, chops and steaks are all carefully prepared by our team of butchers ready for you to cook outdoors, our staff are always on hand to recommend which cuts of meat are best for the grill.

Treat dad with a delicious, filling breakfast this Father’s day (Sunday 19th June).
