Spring into summer and we certainly have, after a late start the sun is finally shinning over the farm. New crops are now starting to finally grow, the animals have some fresh lush grass to fed on and our farm is buzzing with new arrivals. Our Farm Park is now open for summer bookings from the 10th of June to the 23rd of July, you can easily book your visit and reserve your space online. See out naughty goats getting up to mischief with their ‘kids’ in the paddock, our gentle elegant alpacas, just watching life go by or our orphan lambs being moved into their paddocks for the summer.
If you’re celebrating we also offer a private session in the Farm Park, we provide an exclusive, hands-on and guided experience for groups up to 30 people. Led by one of our farm park team visitors can get up close with our furry friends. Session times are Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 4pm till 6pm. Picnics and hampers can be ordered in advance of your visit for you to enjoy alfresco within our designated eating areas, great for celebrations or to purchase as a gift. Price per (2 hour) session £95.00.
June brings us an abundance of fresh produce, the best of British fruit, strawberries, gooseberries (towards the end of the month), raspberries and rhubarb. Courgettes, chard lettuce, new potatoes, radishes and spring onions are also in season, although the British growing season maybe a little delayed due to a very cold and wet spring, we try to stock as much produce as possible. Our Farm Shop has all your favourites, or you can order a super salad box to stock up the fridge.
The deli counter serves food and drink every day, lots of fresh food to take away such as fresh rolls, summer teas and our new speciality, iced coffee fruppachino, a delicious silky smooth iced coffee with a caramel taste. Picnics can be ordered on a daily basis whether you decide on a take away picnic or one to enjoy on site, we have freshly made picnics or you can design your own by ordering alfresco online with our pre-ordering service. With Father’s Day just around the corner, do come and browse our selection of Father’s Day cards plus we have a great range of luxurious treats, from special gin’s to cheese hampers, fine artisan whisky and lots of sweet treats along with some stunning english wines produced locally in Hertfordshire. If the weather holds out our butchery counter has some great BBQ meats ready for the grill, spatchcock chicken, ribs, steaks for sharing and burger packs. Our new family BBQ pack contains tasty kebabs, burgers, sausages and comes with a couple of racks of ribs. You can order online or pop in and see our lovely butchers.
