Happy New Year to all of our customers. After our busiest Christmas yet, we awoke Christmas Day & boxing day to two new litters of baby saddleback pigs! Our crops too are doing well– despite the awfully wet weather & waterlogged fields, being mild is giving them a head start. Our female cows will come into the dry barns at the end of the month to start calving at the beginning of February.
The English game season is drawing to a close & ends at the end of January– time to stock up the freezer! Our butcher Harry is busy making ready to cook pies & is readying himself a head of British Breakfast Week & Burns Night, both falling this month. We are making room in the shop for more local gift ideas, as well as hampers as gifts throughout the year.
Our lovely new cabin, ‘Granny Smiths Tea Shoppe’ is opening this month– at last a lovely tea room to enjoy a wonderful hot refreshment & a lovely snack. Please be patient with us as we undergo this new venture! We shall be serving hot & cold drinks, rolls, light lunches & snacks & an all day breakfast. Children are welcome & dogs may be left safely outside with a bowl of water. Do come along and watch farm life pass you by!
