In the heart of the Hertfordshire countryside, award winning entrepreneur Catherine Smith is ready for another day of business. Owning a rural enterprise means hard work, dedication and long hours to survive. Open for business seven days a week Catherine brings a service that is expanding all the time with new ideas and products whilst the original dairy farm is now an established beef farm supplying the finest free-range meat in the county.
Foxholes Farm covers all aspects of farming and is growing as a business every day, the farm now presents us with a fantastic farm shop showcasing local and regional producers, a full butchery counter and an incredibly well stocked delicatessen with home-baked creations sourced from local producers and ingredients, together with a stunning teashop. Next year the farm will expand even further with a Farm Park and indoor Play Barn together with some exciting events.
As the holiday season comes to an end after a busy summer and with autumn just around the corner, Foxholes Farm starts preparing for the months ahead.
With a new website launching in September showing all the latest from the farm with news, special events, products, recipes, a new click and collect on-line shop and even a farm blog, keeping Foxholes Farm customers informed all year round.
Catherine also plans to expand her business in the corporate world, offering a wide range of bespoke hampers, turkeys, hams, luxury products and gift vouchers so businesses can pre-order a selection of sweet and savoury goodies, gifts and treats in preparation for the festivities ahead. A Foxholes Farm Corporate Hamper brings a bespoke gift with a little something special making life just a little easier.
Foxholes Farms annual Christmas tasting sessions will be in full swing this year giving people the opportunity of sampling our home made products and local produce, a great way to try before you buy. Wreath making workshops and locally sourced Christmas trees will also be on the farm and the teashop will be serving delicious seasonal fabulous food not forgetting the ever so popular afternoon tea.
For all the foodie delights Foxholes Farm has to offer we can`t forget the ethos the farm has kept over the years. Catherine grew up in Hertfordshire on Foxholes Farm, so with farming in her family Catherine encourages the farm to be family friendly, producing fresh produce ready for the plate. From the start Catherine was selling produce from her own farmhouse front door to customers and still sells today at major farmers markets along with making the visitors experience enjoyable. It`s no wonder this amazing business women keeps winning awards which is very well deserved!
