With a grey January now departed for another year, February here at foxholes Farm seems almost like early spring. With Valentines behind us and with school half term nearly finished, there is lots of activity on our Hertfordshire farm. Whilst having had one of the wettest winters for years the lush grass is nearly ready for our cows to go to pasture for another season. Our pigs are bathing joyously in mud and our poultry are just waiting for spring to hatch their young in time for Easter.
If your treating mum or grandma or maybe just a well earned rest for yourself, we have everything you need for Mothering Sunday here at Foxholes. Treat Mum or Grandma to an afternoon tea, served with freshly made scones, pot of jam and delicious cream all washed down with a pot of tea or coffee. Maybe try our high tea for two, served with dainty finger sandwiches filled with our own produce, a selection of cakes or a glass of bubbly in the Hertfordshire countryside. Our cosy tea room serves breakfasts, Sunday lunches and popular dishes for you and all the family to enjoy.
Our farm shop is stocked with a huge selection of winter seasonal vegetables and root vegetables such as leafy carrots, green cabbage, turnips and leeks even fresh rhubarb has made an appearance all sourced and grown as locally as possible. Beautiful hand-made chocolates, cakes, wines and even champagne make the perfect Mother`s Day gift, or if your treating mum with a home cooked meal our butchery counter is well stocked with fantastic new season tender lamb, beef and pork perfect for a mothers day feast!
