  • British Food Fortnight

After 11 days of celebrating the life of our British Queen, what better way to move on than to celebrate all things great about British Food for two weeks.

We are so very blessed with lovely British landscapes up and down the countryside, suited to livestock farming, foraging wild fruits and growing acres of arable crops to keep our nation fed. It was during the pandemic and Brexit that British grown produce was highlighted most, as foreign imports were delayed in arriving from thousands of miles away. There are of course the great British seasons for freshly grown produce.  Now in September we are harvesting home grown sweetcorn, delicious on the grill or on the BBQ (for you hardy ones!).  Autumn brings the lovely season of fresh vegetables, cauliflower, parsnips, swede, carrots and potatoes.  Traditionally used for roasting or why not search the internet more exciting ideas.

Here on our Farm, we produce our own grassfed Aberdeen Angus (a native breed) Beef and prime grassfed Lamb.  We have our own onsite Farm Shop with a Butchery and Deli Team to showcase to you all that is great about our British Food.  Take a look at our website www.foxholesfarm.com to learn more about us. Please help support your local shops.  Our team here have a wealth of knowledge on meats, cheeses, vegetables and meal ideas, in a safe environment, with plenty of free car parking.  So why not pop in for some tantalizing food, a cuppa and slice of cake or a gift or two, as a warm welcome awaits you.
