As the fields change from dark brown to glorious green, our cows and their newly born calves munch on the sweet grass with joy as mums watch them play.

The Asparagus season is upon us early but these beautiful green spears have been selling like hot cakes. With their tantalizing flavour the quality so far this year has been exceptional. Lightly steam for 2 to 3 minutes then serve with a sprinkle of sea salt, a spoonful of hollandaise and you’ll have the perfect dish to enjoy asparagus at its best! New to the butchery counter this month we have free-range chicken pieces marinated in Jamaican jerk spices, ready for you to cook in the oven or over hot coals for the best taste, just in time for the bbq season.
