As we head into yet more weeks of lockdown, our farm park is a hive of activity with new born lambs, calves, ducklings and hopefully a donkey foal (watch this space), although we are missing our visitors this year but our farming life still has to carry on. The fields and paddocks are green and the cows are out of the their winter quarters, along with our naughty goats who have a brand new enclosure to keep them safe. Our pigs are loving the early spring sunshine, being fed fresh greens from the kitchen garden and farm shop, as all fruit and vegetable waste goes to animal feed.
The farm shop is operating a ‘E.mail & Collect’ service for the time being which runs from Wednesday to Saturday. We want to serve our community in the best way we can, so as to safeguard our customers and our staff, we find this works best for everyone without having to queue. We have fresh deliveries of vegetables, fruit and salad every day, so look out for our specially selected fruit/veg/salad boxes which start from just £15.
Asparagus, broccoli , carrots, new potatoes, lettuce, rhubarb and salad leaves are in abundance this time of year, just in time for National Veg Week (11th May). Pick your box, our team will carefully pack it, then we’ll call you when it’s ready for collection. For all orders e.mail shop@foxholesfarm.com
Our butchery counter is in full swing ready for the bank holiday weekends with family meat packs, BBQ packs to celebrate National BBQ Week (25th-31st May), and marinated meats are all being prepared fresh every day for you to order and enjoy, as well as our own home-reared beef and lamb, also look out for our special offers. Our deli counter is keeping our team busy with freshly made pies, sausage rolls and a large selection of cheese with vintage cheddar, to creamy stilton, luscious red Leicester to ripened brie being just some the delicious delights from the counter, (see our website page for details).
We are lucky as a farm shop to have so many ingredients in stock, if you’re gluten free we have flour, egg and milk for some home baking or a range of biscuits, cakes and mixes. Maybe try some English wines as we will be showcasing a range for English Wine Week (23rd-30th May).
