As the fields turn green our little family Farm Park is finally up and running, opening its farm gates with a warm welcome to our lovely visitors.

With the Easter holidays well and truly underway it’s a very busy time here at Foxholes Farm. Our lamb feeding sessions are in full swing until 17th April and we have some new animals on the farm. Our new baby goats have settled in amongst our jersey boy calves, rabbits, guinea pigs, lambs and chicks. Come and meet Anna and Jet, our new donkeys in the Farm Park they love roaming in the paddocks. Our new Alpacas are also enjoying their new home here at the farm with plenty of space to play, we are open weekends and school holidays 11am – 3pm Entry £2.50 per person (under 2`s go free).

On Saturday the 6th May we play host to the Young Farmer`s rally. Once a year all the members of our young farmers` clubs and their families come together to celebrate and enjoy a day of fun and games within the farm park. Watch the ringside events, visit the craft tents, cookery competitions, welly throwing and dressed floats, a fun filled day for all the family. Entry to the rally is £2.50 per person (under 2`s go free). Open 10am – 4pm.

Our farm shop has some sensational seasonal delights. This month we see the arrival of watercress, these fantastic peppery green leaves are great for making sauces, soups and salads. The original spring onion is a firm favourite and makes great garnishes or eaten raw in salads and dips. We also have rocket which is a popular salad leaf mainly used in restaurants but again is great if used in spring/summer salads. Lamb is a firm spring favourite with its delicate flavour it is best either roasted, slow-cooked or grilled. Our butchery team will give advice on which cut is best suited to your dishes.

Granny Smith`s is open for breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea. Take a look at our daily specials board where we use seasonal ingredients from local producers alongside produce from our own farm, giving you a real field to fork experience with minimal food miles. It`s important for us as a business to prioritise and prevent food waste which contributes a huge amount to our environment.

Make use of our picnic tables sit and enjoy food from our new Foxholes Food Trailer in the Farm Park. It’s open weekends and during school holidays serving delicious drinks and snacks, so come and visit us and experience the food, farming, family and fun.

Please note that our farm park will be CLOSED (for one day only) on Saturday 22nd April 2017 due to BBC filming.
