New season lamb is popular this time of year, our lambs are reared by our farm team to the highest possible standards. Spring lamb is the most tender and delicious at this time of year as most are grass-fed, leg or shoulder are great for a family roast or why not try leg steaks, ribs or even burgers for a delicious quick supper. Match lamb with seasonal purple sprouting broccoli, spring onions, wild garlic and new potatoes or try one of our salad box’s to give you a fantastic treat for all the family. Venison is still in season for a few more weeks, take advantage of the rich in colour red meat with a full earthy taste, venison’s diet consists of feeding mainly on leaves and twigs and they lead very active lifestyles making venison meat tender and full of nutrients, do try our venison boxes, freshly cut to order from our butchery counter.
Our new ‘Deli on the Moove’ menu is now here, if you are stuck for a quick bite to eat or takeaway our deli team will keep you fed. Sausage rolls, scotch eggs, burgers, quiche, salads and a selection of sandwiches, or why not choose your own picnic food. Served seven days a week either ring to pre-order or just pop in and order. Cheese is very popular this time of year, we cut cheese to order or try our deli cheese board, a selection of cheese from British cheese producers. Baron Bigod, Oxford Blue, Tunworth and Godminster Vintage Cheddar are just some of the cheese we stock, ask our deli team to assist you, great for alfresco dining.
We have a delivery of gorgeous cakes every day, whole cakes, buns, doughnuts and cupcakes are just some of the delights on offer, and with National Tea Day on the 21st April, what better excuse do you need to indulge. To brighten up any room flowers are a quick solution for a burst of colour. We have an array of seasonal flowers delivered to the farm shop every week fresh for the weekend, so your room can smell as fresh as a spring daisy.
‘British Beef Week’ 23rd-30th April One of the nation’s favourite foodie weeks returns as we celebrate the 11th Great British Beef Week (GBBW). This year GBBW is focused on recognising and highlighting British beef farmers and the work they do to support sustainable production practices on beef farms. It’s due to the strides that these farmers make in this area that British beef continues to be amongst the most sustainable in the world. So help us celebrate by buying our own home-reared and high welfare beef from our farm. Our butchers are always on hand to help you choose which cuts of beef and recipes are best for you to cook.
So enjoy your time with your loved ones and hope the sun shines throughout April as we look forward to seeing you visit Foxholes Farm very soon.
