Ingredients:
- 6 pack of Foxholes sausages - plain pork, Cumberland or cracked black pepper are all yummy
- 250g mushrooms (optional)
- A large onion
- A good dash of Lyme Bay Country Wine (Optional)
- 600g fresh chopped tomatoes
- A generous dash of fresh or dried garden herbs
- 300g pasta shapes
- Grated cheese to serve
-
- Start with the slightly messy bit and remove the skins from the sausages. You also need to chop the onion and heating a large frying pan with a small splash of oil.
- When the oil is hot, carefully crumble the sausages meat into the frying pan and add the chopped onion. Stir well and cook till the meat and onions brown lightly.
- Whilst this is cooking, chop the mushrooms and then add these to the frying pan along with the wine (if you are including these ingredients).
- Now time to add the tomatoes, stir into the mixture and cook until bubbling hot.
- Whilst this is cooking, boil a pan of hot water (with a splash of oil in it) and then add the pasta shapes. Cook until tender, then drain and stir into the meat sauce.
- Now all you have to do is spoon this into individual bowls and sprinkle over the grated cheese. This is yummy when served with crust bread or a crisp fresh salad.....
