    As summer becomes a distant memory our cows gradually start to move into their winter quarters, although some do still like to graze the fields but as farmers we like to give the land a well earned rest!

    Our Farm Park is still open until the 29th October (open every day during half term), we like to finish the farm park season (weather permitting) by allowing visitors to roam the park and take in the lovely views before the busy few months that lay ahead for us.

    Curry week kicks off in the farm shop with some tastings and offers, it`s a nice start to the foodie months ahead. Make the most of seasonal vegetables like chestnuts, squashes, plums, apples and pears. These are so good this time of year and with the game season in full swing towards the end of the month, we can see why the Autumn has the best foodie months.

    Our butchery counter is open seven days a week so look out for our plump pheasants, venison, partridge and pigeon which will become available again towards the end of the month. As the colder weather sets in why not buy leaner cuts of meat, perfect for slow cooking, casseroles and one pot cooking. Celebrate sausage week (30th Oct to 5th Nov) in time for Bonfire Night. Come and taste our delightful range of home-made sausages in fantastic flavours such as pork and caramelised onion, pork & leek and beef & horseradish along with the ever popular farmhouse, we’ll have sausage tastings all week.

    Come and enjoy some pumpkin fun on Halloween week (23rd to 29th October). Our Farm Park will be open every day 11am to 3pm with some added farm games or just relax in Granny Smiths` Tea room with a cuppa or a glass of wine, we serve breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea.
